The Hunt for Red October

I hadn’t seen it before. It definitely kept the suspense all the way, even though it was longer than the 90-minute dramas commonly produced these days. The movie was made in an era when they didn’t have perfect language speakers for respective languages, so it was funny to watch Sean Connery and US actors speak (extremely bad) Russian. But the action, again, was great.
Apparently there actually really was a Lithuanian defector submarine captain. I didn’t know that.

Saw the movie (2008). Really nice quality with Apple TV in HD. Shooting and people’s parts flying off was very graphic. Not that I care/mind, just more graphic than most stuff I’ve seen before. I wonder what it’s like to edit those effects? And the story was of course, as you would expect, pretty straightforward. I wonder how similar the setting is to the actual reality of Burma.
