I hate my big dumb mouth sometimes. I’ve learned the hard way that it’s a very good idea to actively think about when, what, how and to who to say things. And the hardest part of it is that I still fail sometimes and say things that I didn’t mean, that I fail to express and/or that are misunderstood.

Above all, I respect the people who, after the fact, privately walk up to me and say “listen… what you said there-and-there was really stupid, and here’s why”. It’s nice to be nice, but it’s much more valuable to help other people learn from their failures and mistakes in a discreet, dignified way (not making an arse of them in front of others, but discreetly pointing out things).
